Harrah's Laughlin Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas |
When
it opened in 1988, this oasis boasted a new-to-town,
ocean-style sandy beach. More than a decade later, it
continues to be a worthy destination. It rivals its
Las Vegas counterpart for sheer enormity, and it boasts
two sparkling pools and the lavish Club Phillipe health
club by the pool area with state-of-the-art equipment,
a sauna and several m assage styles. Decorated in south-of-the-border
décor, the 1,561 rooms (plus suites booked through
the casino) reside in three towers. They offer a generous
selection of rooms for non-smoking guests and have blackout
drapes and data ports (North Tower only). Among dining
options are The Range Steakhouse overlooking the river,
Baja Blue Restaurant & Cantina, the Fresh Market
Square Buffet and 24-hour Cabo Café. The state-of-the-art
arcade and food court with McDonalds, Baskin Robbins
and Cinnabon are popular with kids. The 340-seat Fiesta
Showroom offers floor, booth and café-like table
seating in an intimate setting; the 3,000-seat Rio Vista
Outdoor Amphitheater offers floor and stadium-style
seating. There is a complete, separate nonsmoking casino.
The sales and catering staff create memorable events
in the flexible Hacienda Grande Ballroom. An adjacent
RV parking area offers proximity to the casino for those
who've arrived hitched to their own digs.

in the guest rooms has a Mexican theme, and in-room amenities

The Rio Vista Outdoor Amphitheater, which seats over 3,000 people,
is a stadium-seating venue that features all types of events including
boxing and concerts.
In addition to the Fiesta Showroom and the Rio Vista
Outdoor Amphitheater, the Baja Blue Nightclub features entertainment
nightly, often with no cover charge.
